Selcen Eyyubi is a culinary experience designer who works with culinary concepts, restaurant consulting, food innovation, and dining experiences.

For her project, we agreed to check her whole website, which included the Homepage, About me, Portfolio, Blog, and Contact pages, and her four services to this date: Food Product Application, Culinary Concept & Experience Creation, Kitchen Operations Consulting, and Workshop & Retreat Design. It also has a page for her Sharing Table events, which she later decided to keep as a separate offer for her Instagram community.

Scope

A comprehensive website audit covering design, content and SEO, as well as a prioritized action plan for implementing the changes.

Approach

I reviewed the site page by page, from the homepage through to each individual service page.

For each page I gave comments, suggested wording, and structural changes. Where a page needed reorganizing, I proposed a new layout along with revised copy. SEO issues were listed separately and ranked by severity. Each issue included steps for fixing it in Wix.

Deliverable

A report in PDF with page-by-page recommendations, suggested copy, the SEO review, and an action plan in three stages: quick wins (menu, links, copyright year, sitemap), content and design reorganization, and SEO.

The report was presented on a call, where we could check the current direction of the website, discuss possible changes and make adjustments to her plan accordingly.

As one of the goals for the updated site was to simplify the amount of content, I have suggested a new outline for her current pages and discussed a direction for the writing and design. We also discussed the possibility of condensating pages together or deleting sections that no longer seemed fit.

Also, since the site was meant to work through direct outreach first and only later attract visitors through search, we judged that SEO was not the immediate priority, which has been stated at her action plan.
